Charles, a retiree, gets a new chance at life when he answers an ad for a private investigator and becomes a mole in an undercover investigation at a nursing home. Based on the Chilean documentary “El Agente Topo.” A remake of the film Salainen agentti vanhainkodissa (2020). I believe that many works of fiction have the natural goal of making the reader think, “It was an honor to share the lives of these fictional characters.” This series certainly achieves that goal. Even those who come for a mystery that is less focused on should be charmed by the humanity that is realized not only in the script but also in the acting of all the cast members. Kudos to all the departments involved. Although Netflix has been difficult lately in terms of renewing shows, I hope they will fulfill the potential of this series by giving them a season 2, because I hope to see more of these incredible characters’ journeys.
