Men and women live in a vast underground silo with few rules that they believe protect them from the toxic and ruined world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book "Wool" – the book has 82 chapters.. The floor fans in various episodes spin in the wrong direction, given the orientation of the blades. Spinning this way neither pushes nor pulls air.. Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Should Drink (2023). It’s an interesting take on the story of an underground bunker, about people who survived underground for so long that a civilization arose within them, with lore, myths, beliefs, rituals, and ceremonies rooted in events that have been forgotten and the status quo social structure established. And when that status quo that maintains order is challenged, executions and punishments ensue. A power structure is formed, creating a stratified population, both figuratively and literally, from the top to the bottom of the silo. That’s the premise, and while it’s not entirely original (think Snowpiercer, Dark City, etc.), there’s enough novelty here and it feels well-executed for a TV series. Good acting from Oyelowo, with familiar faces in Rashida Jones and Will Patton. (But as you can tell from the series poster, they’re guest stars who will make way for a regular cast, with Rebecca Ferguson in the lead role.) The series feels pretty decent, with good production values. There are elaborate sets and good CGI to provide a believable atmosphere. While a skeptical mind will pick up on some obvious conspiracies early on, mysteries are revealed that will keep me engaged.
